Plagiarism Policy

OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum (OMNIA-LC) maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and unethical publishing practices. The journal is committed to protecting the integrity of the scholarly record and to ensuring that all published work meets the highest standards of originality and academic honesty.

Plagiarism, in any form, is considered a serious ethical violation. This includes, but is not limited to, the unacknowledged use of another person’s work, excessive textual similarity, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and misrepresentation of research findings.

All manuscripts submitted to OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum may be screened using plagiarism detection software at any stage of the editorial or review process. Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of similarity or unethical use of sources may be rejected without further consideration.

Similarity Threshold

The journal allows a maximum overall similarity index of 20%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited sources. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected, depending on the nature and extent of the overlap.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified:

  • Prior to publication, the manuscript will be rejected and the authors may be barred from future submissions for a specified period.
  • After publication, the journal reserves the right to issue corrections, expressions of concern, or to retract the article in accordance with accepted ethical guidelines.

Ethical Oversight

All cases of suspected plagiarism or misconduct are handled in line with the principles and procedures of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors are expected to cooperate fully with any investigation related to ethical concerns.

By submitting a manuscript to OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum, authors confirm that their work is original and that all sources have been appropriately acknowledged.
