Reviewer Guideline

OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum (OMNIA-LC) relies on the expertise and scholarly integrity of its reviewers to ensure the academic quality, originality, and relevance of the manuscripts it publishes. Reviewers play a central role in maintaining the journal’s standards and in contributing to constructive and ethical scholarly communication.

Role of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to evaluate submitted manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially. Reviews should focus on the academic merit of the work and provide constructive feedback that supports authors in improving the quality and clarity of their research.

Principles of Review

Reviewers are expected to adhere to the following principles:

  • Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others without explicit authorization from the editorial team.
  • Objectivity and Fairness

Reviews should be conducted impartially and based solely on scholarly merit, originality, methodological soundness, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.

  • Constructive Feedback

Reviewers should provide clear, reasoned, and respectful comments that help authors strengthen their work. Critiques should be specific and supported by academic reasoning.

  • Timeliness
Reviewers are expected to complete their evaluations within the agreed timeframe or to inform the editors promptly if a delay is unavoidable.
  • Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and draw attention to any substantial similarity or overlap with existing literature.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest—academic, institutional, financial, or personal—that could influence their evaluation of a manuscript. If a conflict exists, reviewers should decline the review invitation.

Ethical Responsibility

Reviewers should notify the editors of any suspected ethical issues, including plagiarism, data fabrication, or other forms of research misconduct. Such concerns should be communicated confidentially to the editorial team.

Anonymity in Peer Review

OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum employs a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers must not attempt to identify the authors of the manuscript, nor should they disclose their own identity within review reports.

By accepting a review invitation, reviewers acknowledge their responsibility to uphold these guidelines and to contribute to the integrity and scholarly value of OMNIALANG: International Journal of Language Continuum.
